Farm to Table
The summer growing season is in full swing and David's Tavern is creating delicious menu specials from many local farms including Heron Pond Farm in South Hampton, New Hampshire.
David's Tavern is dedicated to buying local as part of our sustainability philosophy and we think you'll taste the difference.
This Month's Artist - what's on the walls "Downstairs"
This month’s art exhibit is a collection of paintings by Margot Siegmann.
Margot lives and paints in Newburyport. Her paintings are both upstairs and downstairs and represent two different portfolios. Striking new paintings of Newburyport street scenes are downstairs and her American Icons series is upstairs.
David's Tavern & Fashion Bus support Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center
David's Tavern recently hosted a Fashion Bus event. Admission fees were donated to the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center in Newburyport, MA.
Food Drive for Pettengill House
David's Tavern partnered with our customers to support the Pettengill House in Salisbury. Throughout November employees and customers donated food items that were collected at the restaurant. By the end of the month we were able to donate a large bin of food to the Pettengill House. We also donated 6 gallons of turkey stock to Our Neighbor's Table in Amesbury.
Fundraising Festivals
David’s Tavern participated in several community fundraisers. The Chowder Festival on October 10th benefited the Custom House Maritime Museum where we served our signature Clam Chowder, unique with the flavor of fresh thyme. The “Chili Con Carnival” Cook-Off on October 17th benefited Our Neighbor’s Table and The Pettengill House. Thanks to everyone who joined us in supporting these important community resources.

Newburyport Education Fundraiser
David’s Tavern has given generously to the Newburyport Education Foundation Lighthouse Auction, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 14 at the Nicholson Hall. In addition we will extend our kitchen hours to serve food until 10:30 pm for anyone who would like a bite to eat and hear some great music after the auction. So stop on by!
